You’d think that as someone who considers herself a fan I’d seen the final episode of the original Twin Peaks… but until recently I had not. No I’m not sure it’s worth it to watch the entire 2nd season but the last episode is super creepy and satisfying, maybe even more so because the rest is so disjointed and just not great. Also, is David Lynch a misogynist, as one of my favorite clients insists? I’m not completely convinced, but I do think his female characters tend to be ciphers, while the men get to have much more nuanced personalities. I am gonna say the red curtains in the Black Lodge are lady parts- pretty tough to see them as anything else. Fun fact: The Black Hen was named (and decorated) using the Black Lodge as inspiration.
